Week 1 Recap

The FounderStreams Accelerator kicked off this Monday with Founder Check-In on Monday and the first Session on Tuesday. Monday's Check-In revolves around program administration and having the Founder set goals for the week, stating what they have accomplished and what they have left to complete.

On Tuesday we had our first session centered around Startup 101 and how Founders can better understand how to gage themselves when articulating their stage. Elizabeth Scallon and Jonathan G. Blanco discussed some of the intangibles of Founder / Startup life, while getting into the details of what it takes to start a company. Tackling such aspects of a Startup such as:

  • What problem are you solving?

  • Customers / Segments / Market Analysis / Sales Strategy

  • Solution/Unique Value Proposition

  • Key Resources / Metrics

  • Market Channels /Marketing Plan

  • Team / Management / Operations

  • Financials / Expenditures / Revenue

  • Funding

  • Storytelling/ Pitch

Elizabeth and Jonathan also discussed stages and steps to a startup by discussing Pre-Seed to IPO and even Exits.

Resources

FounderStreams believes the information and lessons provided to the Founders should be available to anyone, which is why they have gone about hosting the Cohort sessions in public on Clubhouse. Each session will have a follow on guide posted on social media and on the FounderStreams Resources page before each session.

Press

The FounderStreams Accelerator received press coverage on April 6, 2021 from Geekwire, a leading startup and tech online magazine in the Pacific Northwest.

The article outlines the impetus behind launching the accelerator and outlines each of the participating companies.

“Clubhouse creates a unique method of engagement in which you really need to focus on storytelling as you cannot rely on visuals,” Blanco said. “We also believe there is a level of authenticity to Clubhouse which will lead to a new learned experience for our cohort to solidify their narrative.”
