Seattle, WA: On July 7, 2022, TF Labs and Niftmint hosted the first ever Blockchain Backyard taking place at their offices in Seattle. With Summer finally arriving in Seattle and with the Seattle crypto community keen to connect, TF Labs and Niftmint hosted their first Blockchain Backyard event, a Backyard Barbeque theme with networking, food, and drinks, all in the shadow of the Space Needle in Downtown Seattle. The focus of the event was simply to have fun and make connections with others in Web3. Halfway through the event, the group gathered for a panel of leading VCs who are actively investing in Web3.
Guest began arriving just after 4pm and took to the balcony, where Niftmint's VP of
Operations Mike Morgan was mastering the grill with tasty burgers and there were cold refreshing drinks ready in the ice chest. For many, it was their first blockchain event since the pandemic and an opportunity to reminisce with old friends and make new ones. Attendees were invited to the TF Labs private Telegram Channel to stay connected on #Web3 #Crypto #Blockchain #Bitcoin and #NFTs.
To commemorate the Blockchain Backyard, all attendees were gifted an NFT from Nifmint to show they attended the event and which can be viewed in their Niftmint wallet. Those who received NFTs have the ability to transfer their NFTs to their own crypto wallets such as Metamask or Coinbase Wallet.
The networking took a temporary pause for an alpha conversation with an investor panel around how VCs are looking at Web3 investments. The panel included Maria Gilfoyle from Madrona Ventures Group, Haseeb Qureshi of Dragonfly Capital, and Christian Narvaez of OP Crypto, and was moderated by Niftmint CEO and Founder, Jonathan G. Blanco. The panel lasted just over 30 minutes with each investor providing their unique perspective regarding the markets and what founders can do in the "crypto winter" to keep the companies moving forward. The general consensus was that though the market may be contracting, there is still lots of Web3 innovation happening and there will be great companies that arise as a result.
